Big Garden Birdwatch launched at No 10.

The RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch - the biggest bird survey of its kind in the world - was launched at 10 Downing Street.

 Details  
This was the 25th anniversary of the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch. The launch at number 10, which was attended by the Environment Minister Elliot Morley and children from the Asian Resource Centre and Wildlife for All, included the required hours counting during which nine species of bird were seen (including goldfinch, wren, robin and blackbird). General recording was carried out by members of the public over yesterday and today. Last year over 314,000 people took part.
